What is your turnaround time? Can you rush my film?

Turnaround time depends on the amount of film we have to process. Please find our current turnaround times on our Home Page.

Do you offer a rush service?

We do! Please find our Rush Policy here.

Can you develop film from disposable cameras?

Yes. We charge a recycling fee of $2/camera for single-use cameras. We suggest purchasing a simple-use camera instead of disposables as it’s better for the environment :) If you’d like to rent one of ours, let us know!

How do I get my negatives back?

To collect your negatives and prints, please visit our Inglewood studio at 915 9 Ave SE, Calgary. Neat is open for walk-ins from Wednesday to Saturday between 10:00am - 6:00pm. Ring the doorbell at our studio and we’ll let you in!

You can also request to have your negatives mailed back to you for an additional $7.00.

How do I convert my RAW scans?

You’ll need software capable of opening Sony A1 RAW files and inverting the negative into a positive image. Here is a guide on how to manually invert colour negative images. These are some software options:

Negative Lab Pro We recommend this one!

FilmLab

Filmomat

We always include a scan of the film base (same as the border) as the last image. You can white balance using this.

Can you develop my old/unknown film?

It depends on how old and the type of film! Very old film can turn out completely blank or very degraded—so beware! Expired E-6 is unlikely to retain any information. We cannot process film of an unknown type - as the chemistry required varies by film type. Some old films may need to be stand-developed for best results; we’ll advise you if this is the case! Film Rescue International can help you develop old films!

Do you develop re-spooled cinema film (with a remjet backing)?

We DO NOT process ECN-2 film. We do process re-spooled cinema film that has the remjet removed properly and fully. Any brand other than CineStill and Flic Film that claims to have the remjet removed will need to be processed as “souped” film. This is due to issues with the remjet not being completely removed from off brand films.

If we are not advised and your film is processed as normal, you will be charged for any damaged rolls processed along side yours and/or any ruined chemistry.

Can you develop souped film?

Yes, we can develop your souped film! We develop all souped films together in one batch - therefore we need to collect 6-8 rolls of film before we can process.

Can you push or pull film?

Yes, we can push or pull your Black & White film! Make sure to note that you need your film pushed or pulled on the intake form (indicate which rolls if you’re submitting more than 1). We charge an additional $5.00 per roll for this service. We can push or pull your C-41 if you bring us 8 rolls pushed or pulled the same amount. We can push or pull your E6 if you bring us 6 rolls pushed or pulled the same amountPlease expect longer wait times for orders with pushed or pulled film.

Can you scan with the sprockets included?

Yes! We charge an additional $5.00/roll for unconverted scans and and an additional $10.00/roll for converted scans.

Can you scan half-frame and panoramic?

Yes! We scan half-frame images individually. We charge an additional $10.00 to scan half-frame and panoramic films.
