Cyanotype photography is a camera-less technique that involves laying an object or negative on paper coated with a solution of iron salts before exposing it to UV light and washing with water to create stunning white and Prussian blue images. Cyanotype is one of the first photographic processes ever developed.
In this 3 hour, hands-on workshop, you will be creating 3 cyanotype photograms, made by arranging objects on the cyanotype sensitized paper. After learning about the history of the cyanotype, we will head out to forage for local flora to use for our photograms. You are encouraged to bring your own objects to use as well! You will design, expose under UV lights, and develop in water your own cyanotypes.
We’ll have a floral tea and cookies for you to enjoy while you work on your cyanotypes.

Cancelation Policy
Neat Film Lab requires 24 hours’ notice for all appointment cancellations or rescheduling. This ensures we can offer the time slot to another community member.
Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment are subject to a cancellation fee equal to $30.00.
No Shows: If a client does not arrive for their appointment and does not contact us, the full no‑show fee of $60.00 will apply.
Exceptions: We understand emergencies happen. Exceptions may be granted at our discretion.
How to Cancel: Clients may cancel by contacting us via email at info@neatfilmlab.com. The timestamp of the message determines whether the 24‑hour window is met.
